The heart of our company is family. Huey D is named after our firstborn son; he is our “why” and our inspiration for building a legacy that lasts. When we put his name on a label, it’s a promise of quality, integrity, and love.

Resilience in the Heart of Kalamazoo
Our true journey began in 2020. While the world slowed down, we stepped up. Through the long nights of the pandemic, we worked tirelessly to perfect our craft, eventually outgrowing our home and moving our operations into a local church kitchen in the heart of downtown Kalamazoo. That move wasn’t just about space—it was about planting roots in the community that supported us when we needed it most.

Today, you can find Huey D’s Goodies in 9 locations across Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids & Vicksburg. From winning our first business pitch competition in 2023 to being featured on local cooking shows, every milestone is a win for our city.

We believe in pouring back into the streets that raised us. Whether we are mentoring the next generation of youth or donating products to our partners at the Gospel Mission and the YWCA, our goal is simple: to be a living example.
